McCain was in Latvia today and said that response of the west to events in Ukraine is ridiculous and embarrassing. Kind of sad that aggressive republicans (or any politicians, for that matter) can use the situation to look like heroes that would’ve done the right thing if they were in charge.
How did the clothes you’re wearing get to you? Guardian journalists trace the lifecycle of the shirt on your back via the teeming workshops of Dhaka, where labour is cheap, factories are cheaper and just going to work can be fatal
Most people just wear scarves or ties but Paul seems to insist on wearing his children

Ah, no, never. And I generally think I’m pretty terrible at articulating what I see in certain pieces of literature. But since it’s just my analysis and I in no way claim to know the actual answer, I’m allowed to fail, right? Right.
At the begging he talks about two athletes at decline of their careers and fame. Not decline, actually. The end of their careers. He talks about how traumatic the realization of lost youth is, how it is to be “an old men just like other old men” after you’ve been in the center of attention. Individual grows old and forgotten in contrast of crowd that always looks the same and finds new idols and leaders to love and then forget. By the begging you might think that he himself is bitter by his aging, however, he claims the opposite. That he, as a writer, can never be forgotten or replaced, that he has chosen writing and he can never be too old to write, he can only get better as opposed to people that choose to do something that wears them out physically. Now, he is very confident in something that he cannot be sure of in any way. It could be seen as him challenging his fate or fortune or whatever you want to call it. He’s in a bet with his fate and what he bets on is his muse (inspiration, creative capabilities).
Hope this is helpful in any way.
It’s completely obvious those pro-Russian separatists are just ordinary civilians. Probably bought their weapons at Walmart.
